Hi! Iโm Michelle and this is my story! I fell in love with traveling and travel photography when I was a kid. In my 20's I started solo backpacking. Later, I was trapped by corporate America and lost track of my passions. Now, in my 40's I've left the corporate life and have rekindled my adventurous spirit. After a nice visit to the Azores, I parted ways with Diane and headed back to the mainland to visit my Portugal family, Luci, Charles, Theo, Florence, Luna (woof) and Monti (purrr). If you have been following me, you may remember, this is the family with a beautiful AirBnB who I spent a month with this past spring. When I decided to make my way back to Portugal, I couldn't leave without a visit!
I visited some really spectacular sites around Cluj-Napoca and enjoyed learning about the history while making new friends. If you are a Dracula fan, you will enjoy seeing some of the inspiration in these amazing castles and villages!
After rerouting from my initial loose plan for Eastern Europe, I ended up in Timiศoara, Romania. It is the third largest city in Romania, also known as the "City of Flowers" and "Little Vienna". Not having a plan, I enjoyed just being here and experiencing a bit of the local life in this European Cultural Capital of 2023! Please come on in to experience some of it's unique beauty!

Having easy access to Cascais-Estoril, I made a couple of visits to this beautiful seaside town. Fun beaches, amazing palaces and castles, a beautiful park, delicious food....YES!
Finally I found a place to settle for a month and I'm loving it! Welcome to Almoรงageme, Portugal, where you will see beautiful coastlines, go on amazing hikes, and visit some truly magical sites...this is only the beginning! C'mon in and see what's happening!
Ahh, a nice change of pace and change of scenery. It was a long journey from Tokyo to Lisbon, but I made it and the sun is shining! I'm so excited to start my European adventure and share what I find!
An amazing last few days in Japan with a brief glimpse of crazy Tokyo and sights of beautiful Mt. Fuji. I couldn't have asked for any better weather and everything just fell into place as it was meant to be. Enjoy!
