Later, I was trapped by corporate America and lost track of my passions. Now, in my 40's I've left the corporate life and have rekindled my adventurous spirit. I enjoyed so many things in this cool, welcoming city. From nice meals, to amazing photo walks, to an interesting experience at a steam bath...Tbilisi delivered! If you have a chance to visit, I'd absolutely recommend it!

This 3-Day trip to Tusheti, tackling one of the world's most dangerous roads, was the reason I extended my trip in Georgia and the best decision I made in the past 8 months of travel! Come on in to see lots of pictures and learn about the adventure!
I had another amazing day in Georgia with visits to the town of Borjomi, famous for it's healing mineral water, and the amazing cave monastery of Vardzia. Come on in and check it out. Also, stay tuned for the upcoming posts as my favorite adventure is yet to come!!! Gosh, Georgia was a good idea! ๐
I took a day trip from Tbilisi, Georgia to Armenia to visit some of the oldest monasteries and an interesting old Soviet cable car site. We were lucky to avoid the rain for most of the day and have a bit cooler weather with the clouds!
After Romania, I gave up on my Eurail pass and flew to Georgia! This turned out to be the best decision! Here is my first adventure to the Rainbow Mountains and a couple of interesting monasteries where I also met a new friend! Come on in to start the Georgia journey with me!
I wanted to share a bit about about the actual city of Cluj-Napoca apart from all of the amazing nearby treasures. Inside are a few of my favorite buildings and a peek at the unique botanic gardens. Enjoy!
I visited some really spectacular sites around Cluj-Napoca and enjoyed learning about the history while making new friends. If you are a Dracula fan, you will enjoy seeing some of the inspiration in these amazing castles and villages!
After rerouting from my initial loose plan for Eastern Europe, I ended up in Timiศoara, Romania. It is the third largest city in Romania, also known as the "City of Flowers" and "Little Vienna". Not having a plan, I enjoyed just being here and experiencing a bit of the local life in this European Cultural Capital of 2023! Please come on in to experience some of it's unique beauty!
I rode the train from Vienna to Budapest to explore the castle on the hill, the beautiful parliament building, and many other pieces of amazing architecture and the towns humble history. I ended my stay with a beautiful cruise on the Danube during "blue" hour to seal in the beauty. Enjoy!
