Hi! I’m Michelle and this is my story! I fell in love with traveling and travel photography when I was a kid. In my 20's I started solo backpacking. Later, I was trapped by corporate America and lost track of my passions. Now, in my 40's I've left the corporate life and have rekindled my adventurous spirit. After a nice visit to the Azores, I parted ways with Diane and headed back to the mainland to visit my Portugal family, Luci, Charles, Theo, Florence, Luna (woof) and Monti (purrr). If you have been following me, you may remember, this is the family with a beautiful AirBnB who I spent a month with this past spring. When I decided to make my way back to Portugal, I couldn't leave without a visit!
My final few busy days in Porto included trips to Aviero, the Douro Valley, and Arouca Geopark. I tasted many great wines and saw some beautiful sights and scenery. Come on in and check it out! Cheers!

Having easy access to Cascais-Estoril, I made a couple of visits to this beautiful seaside town. Fun beaches, amazing palaces and castles, a beautiful park, delicious food....YES!
Finally I found a place to settle for a month and I'm loving it! Welcome to Almoçageme, Portugal, where you will see beautiful coastlines, go on amazing hikes, and visit some truly magical sites...this is only the beginning! C'mon in and see what's happening!
Ahh, a nice change of pace and change of scenery. It was a long journey from Tokyo to Lisbon, but I made it and the sun is shining! I'm so excited to start my European adventure and share what I find!
