Hi! I’m Michelle and this is my story! I fell in love with traveling and travel photography when I was a kid. In my 20's I started solo backpacking. Later, I was trapped by corporate America and lost track of my passions. Now, in my 40's I've left the corporate life and have rekindled my adventurous spirit. Ahh, a nice change of pace and change of scenery. It was a long journey from Tokyo to Lisbon, but I made it and the sun is shining! I'm so excited to start my European adventure and share what I find!
An amazing last few days in Japan with a brief glimpse of crazy Tokyo and sights of beautiful Mt. Fuji. I couldn't have asked for any better weather and everything just fell into place as it was meant to be. Enjoy!

Making my way south, I landed in Shirahama, a quaint little fishing town with many public onsen baths and amazing scenery. Come on in and check out the cool cave, more cherry blossoms, and Engetsu Island!
I rerouted to a small town, Wakayama City in Wakayama Perfecture. It was a welcome change from the touristy city of Kyoto. I had a blast with the castle and the cats! If you love either, you'll enjoy the pics. Thanks for following my purrfect adventure through Japan!
A beautiful day in and around Nara Park. The deer were so sweet and kind (except one A-Hole :-), and the sights and scenery were amazing. From parks to temples to the quiet walk around a serene lake, it couldn't have turned out any better.
Surprise! I'm in Japan! I had to escape the heat in SE Asia, and this beautiful country called me. Please read more and take in a breath of fresh air with me. I promise, you will not be disappointed!
My final chapter for SE Asia for now :-). I relaxed, exercised, saw friends, and took in the city in a new way. There we so many unexpected surprises and so many happy moments in this crazy city I've grown to love.
Wow, how time flies. I can't believe I was in Phuket for a whole month. I saw many things from beaches to markets in the Old Town, finally attended the yoga retreat I've been looking forward to for months, and had my first visitors form the US!! Read more to see the pics and learn more! Cheers!
